Module Information

Orbital provides a platform for students to gain hands-on industrial experience for computing technologies related to students’ own interests. Done in pairs of two, Orbital students propose, design, execute, implement and market their project to peers and faculty. Peer assessment and critique of others’ projects are key components of the courses’ deliverables.

Module Details

There are on concrete details on what you have to do for this module. We have the freedom to decide on what projects that we want to work on for 3 months.

I will definitely recommend everyone to take on more complicated projects on a tech stack that you want to learn. If the project is not sufficiently complicated, you will not be able to learn much from the project/not get accepted by the module.

During the project, we will have an advisor that will guide us through the project. If we need any technical help, we can approach them to ask for help as well as their opinions on the project.

Liftoff

For lift off, the main task was to submit a proposal for the project that you want to work on.

  1. You have to find a partner to work with.
  2. You have to submit a proposal for the project that you want to work on.
  3. For artemis teams, we have to also create a poster and video for the project.

The deadline for the Artemis teams is earlier at 14th May instead of 18th May.

Milestones

For each of the milestones, you have to submit a report for the milestone. The report includes the following:

  1. What you have done for the milestone
  2. Information on our project

For the last milestone, you have to submit a video for the project.
